The Red Violets- Indie, Folk Duo
2024 will see the release of their debut album for these passionate singer/songwriters/storytellers from Gulidjan and Gadubanud Country, Colac Otway in South West Victoria.
For the past 4 years they have been writing, recording and releasing 12 original songs and video clips, plus working on some exciting projects including "Find Your Light - Messages of Hope and Support" for those struggling with mental health, especially during lockdown. Find Your Light was a awarded top 3 finalist in the Art Of The Minds Surfcoast Songwriting Contest,
"Marching Free" was a song released for Harmony Day that was shared throughout many schools promoting Inclusion and Diversity.
Claire Foley (Vocals/Ukulele) and Jill O’Dowd (Keyboards/Percussion) sweep their audiences up with their engaging storytelling and captivating stage presence. Their music openly explores subjects, questions and themes that they are passionate about. Inspired by nature, colour and creativity. The Red Violets thrive in the live performance environment and have an incredible gift of connecting with their audiences.
Claire and Jill have been performing together for 17 years. They deliver an honest and raw performance, sharing stories of survival, celebration, inclusion and optimism. They continue to follow their hearts, leave it to the universe and work with people and projects that they connect with. They continue to focus on making a difference through the "Power Of Music"
